Ron has over 20 years’ experience helping international companies and managers bridge cultures, bring about organizational change and achieve their goals. In the last few years, he has specialized on organization development projects for multi-national companies, with a special focus on leadership issues and developing corporate culture.

In addition, Ron has many years’ experience working with teams and individual managers, supporting them through challenging situations and helping them define and focus on their future visions and goals. He is expert in small and large group interventions, and works often with international teams to help them work at high-impact. He also coaches managers in coping with international issues, transitioning to new positions and managing change processes.

With a background in communications strategy, marketing and advertising strategic planning, he brings years of experience both in line management and consulting.

Clients over the past two years have included Carl Zeiss, Deutsche Telekom, Grünenthal, Volkswagen, Beiersdorf, Porsche, Thyssen Krupp, Knauf, Boehringer Ingelheim, Bilfinger Industrial Services, as well as the private universities IMD and ESMT.

Ron is a member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and is an ICF-certified coach.

Biography

Ron Gorlick was born in 1961 in New York City, and grew up in New Jersey. Traveling extensively with his family and participating in inter-cultural exchanges from an early age, he learned to appreciate and respect cultural diversity. He underwent inter-cultural training with the Experiment in International Living in Brattleboro, Vermont, and led groups of teenagers to Mexico and Spain over several summers.

After completing his studies, Ron enjoyed a ten-year career in New York City in marketing, strategic communications and crisis management consulting. He moved to Germany in 1996 and soon began working in organizational consulting. In the years since, he has worked with many of Germany’s DAX 20 companies, developing organizations and their cultures, improving teamwork and cooperation across departments and functions, and designing and implementing strategic change initiatives.

Ron holds a B.A. in English Literature from Connecticut College and an MBA from Washington University / St. Louis. He has a certification in Organization Development (Master’s equivalent), as well as in conflict management through Trigon Organization Development in Salzburg, where he studied under Friedrich Glasl. He completed his training as a coach with Coaching Development in London.

He lives in Berlin with his wife and two children. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, jogging, skiing, playing guitar and discovering new wines.
